March 2003
About 45 minutes earlier, C47 led by 7216, got its Form D. It finally reaches the crossing at Creslo.
The 5,000 hp units pass "SUMMIT."
The train continues through Paint. In a few miles, this line will be almost right next to CSX's S&C Subdivision.
7216 takes the nearly 3.5% grade at "NAG."
7216 passes the grade crossing at "CAIRN."
After a short stop between Cairnbrook and Central City, the train reaches the mine.
The conductor climbs down and throws the switch to the normal position.
October 2004
This is Bethlehem Mines Corp #1, and SW1. Its owner is actually Vintage Electric Streetcar Co. This unit is stored in Windber and is apparently used for parts for her sister unit.
NS 7216 poses at Cairnbrook.
