This 1874 photograph shows the west portal of the original Spruce Creek tunnel. Today this view looks quite different, as there is a 2nd tunnel, and the original tunnel has caved in.

I wasn't able to shoot the previous train with a CSX SD70MAC, but I was just as happy with this one. Two primer units, a C40-9W and SD70M, lead an intermodal past the old PRR station in Tyrone.
Another primered SD70M leads this intermodal at the same spot.
This 67Z tripped the wheel impact detector at MP 198 and was ordered to slow to 30 mph. I was then able to beat it to the Rt 305 overpass.
20K passes just as the tail end of 67Z falls out of sight.
This work train is powered by the only Juniata rebuild to get Operation Lifesaver decals. They are eastbound at Pemberton crossing to continue picking up ties.
