NS on the Nittany & Bald Eagle RR

February 2007
Conrail and NS have used trackage rights on the NBER between Tyrone and Lock Haven, PA as a shortcut to the Strawberry Ridge power plant since around 1995. Here a 536 is preparing to start upgrade through Tyrone.
Typical power for these trains until this year is a trio of SD40-2's. They're making their way through the street running now.
They're now passing a BiLo.
Two blues.
Check out these new aluminum hoppers. There are about three train sets of these new cars running around PA right now, built by Freight Car America in Johnstown, PA.
The rear of the train comes.
January 2008
537 glides down the street running in Tyrone.
Three blue beauties, the first two were built in Altoona.
537 passes the NBER crew.
