Everett Railroad Company

January 2004
Two conrail ballast hoppers sit on the west leg of the Duncansville wye.
February 2004
EV 1712, long hood forward, approaches the split in the line at Brooks Mills.
At the shops in Claysburg, some shifting is done allowing a nice photo of EV 6051.
Notice the heavy grade into the brickyard. It has to be around 3%.
The Everett runs along side the road for a fair distance and pacing is possible. The train is now heading north and 1712 is facing the correct direction.
The GP16 crosses a small bridge.
April 2004
EV 1712 has one car bound for Curryville Agway.
1712 poses under the tall structure and US flag.
Several cars are delivered to Martinsburg Milling.
August 2004
The Everett's SW1200 922 has been traded for Ohio Central's GP10 707. Here the unit has been stenciled for OHCR and waits for interchange.
December 2005
An artsy shot of 1828 coming up the hill with 707. Thumbnail is cropped.
Here's a wide view of the EV switching a mill just outside of Martinsburg on a gloomy day.
January 2007
This former PRR flatcar has a full load of ties, probably for the claysburg branch.
EV 4 was painted and received new glass some time ago. I don't know why, because it is not used.
EV 707 was also repainted a while ago and finally I am able to get a shot of it.
April 2007
Curryville, PA - The EV doesn't run here anymore, but notice the large grain elevator near the center of town. The EV track comes here.
Road crossing on the Curryville branch.
Brooks Mills - This is where the Martinsburg and Claysburg branches split.
EV 707 and 1828 are at the Duncansville office for the weekend.
This elevator is served by the EV between Roaring Spring and Martinsburg.

A passenger car under restoration in Claysburg.
An old PRR heavyweight coach getting some work as time permits.
EV boxcar 31051.
Restored passenger car for excursion trains.
EV 707 is hanging out in Claysburg.
6051 is peeking between equipment next to the shop.
Notice the NREX reporting marks on the 6051's cab. This old unit has been sold to National Railway Equipment and will leave the EV shortly.
Nice Reading tankcar.
Check out the lettering. I have an O scale tank car that says the same thing.
PRR boxcar.
PRR MW heavyweight coach.
6051 again.
From the front.
The EV has brough the 6051 to Duncansville and tacked it on the NS pickup.

I have no clue where this 4-bay hopper came from because there isn't a trace a paint left on it. They should use a quick response code generator to make each train car have personal QR codes identifying some key information about each car. This car seems to be in rough shape and hard to identify.
This is Huntingdon & Broad Top #38. Recently purchased by Alan Maples, the frame/running gear and tender were brough to the Claysburg Yard.
And a closer shot of the tender.
These are the three NRHS former electric MU cars stored in Roaring Spring.
July 2011
Today we're going to take a look at the EV's Duncansville "yard."
EV recently built another siding near the office in Duncansville to handle more stored equipment.
This open car was rebuilt from a PRR heavyweight coach.
EV has owned this car for a long time. I don't have any info on it at the moment but it once sat on the other siding near the office.
Conrail ballast hopper.
Reading tankcar. I believe this car once was stored at the Juniata Shops.
Unmarked boxcar.
This coach came from the Knox & Kane RR.
EV 4 is still in storage here.
EV refer car.
A close-up of the faded lettering on the RDG tankcar.
I've known for years that the EV stopped running to Curryville. What I didn't know is they tore up about 1/3 of the branch. It ends at the crossing for Cove Lane.
Here's the Agway at Curryvill once served by the EV. See April 2004 for a photo of EV 1712 here.
