During one of our work days on the speeder line, we encountered this kink caused by the rail expanding due to the heat. After finding this we decided to put several new ties in this spot and straighten it out. Scroll down to the May 25th photos to see it after ties were inserted. |

Today we managed to get the speeder line in good enough condition to reach our goal of operating speeder to Rt 475. Here were are at south end of cleared track at Rt 475 with two EBT speeders. |
| May 11th - EBT Cars Out of Storage |

Today the EBT staff is bringing all the freight and passenger cars out of storage. M-6 grabs M-4 and a couple cars. |

Once the new main beam was in place, FEBT was able to remove the cribbing which has been hiding the shops stationary steam engine. FEBT is cleaning and lubing the moving parts. |

| May 24 - Speeder Line Work & FEBT Projects |

An FEBT crew did a general cleanup of the coaling dock and erected a retaining wall out of ties to the north of the concrete structure. FEBT hopes to restore the coal dock over the next few years for the EBT to use. |
 |
Today we installed 7 ties in the speeder line where we previously had a problem with a sunkink. The work we did at this spot was a huge improvement. |
 |
Last week was a week-long work session for the FEBT. They made some repairs to the sand house as well as painted the first floor. |
 |
