Durbin & Greenbriar Valley RR
New Tygart Flyer
Pics from May 27, 2007

Our train is preparing to depart Belington for points south.
I'm not sure what this part of a steam locomotive is called, but they have this spare one here for some reason.
Bentley Coal 207.
BL2 82 will lead our train until we run around it for the reverse move into High Falls.
This is only the second one I've seen and boy are they ugly, but you've gotta love 'em.
FP7 67 is on the rear, but will lead on the return trip.
Two West Virginia Northern 2-8-0's are on the property for restoration. The one is this photo is in progress.
Hardly a trace of paint left on these two.
I believe this pair is nearly identical.
Ex-B&O E8 for the future museum in Elkins.
The E8 from behind.
These two 2-8-0's will need new tires, or at least a lot of turning on the lathe.
The train is ready to depart.
The station at Elkins.
Not a bad shot of vintage power.
Ugly (BL2) stands at the staion.
We have arrived at High Falls.
The New Tygart Flyer uses some vintage passenger cars also. The parlor car is a heavy weight.
For the return trip to Belington, we were treated to a cab ride. This is engineer Bob.
The view from the head end looking back.
This bridge once carried a stangely arranged wye track. There was a diamond here also, that still lays next to the track.
We're about the cross a bridge.
The view from the bridge.
Station flag stop.
This EMD 567 is hammering away as were travel toward Elkins.
We're about to enter the S curve tunnel.
The train backs into Elkins station.
This was the first weekend that the train stopped at this station since the bridge in this view was built to replace the original.
Controls on the BL2.
Engine room of BL2.
WM 303 is on a siding and appears to see little use.
Controls on the FA2.
B&O Caboose, probably for the future museum.
This UP inspection car is apparently owned by a private individual.
The train is stopped to get fuel for the power car.
F7B unit.
This Plymouth is an ML series and probably 30 or 35 tons.
