Saturday May 26th Continued
During this trip we had special permission to access the shop area, however it was still denied by the night hostler. We were still able to get a few shots. A few detail shots of #4 follow.
#11 is at the coal dock.
Cass almost always has three or more locomotives in steam each weekend.

This station is a reptroduction, but still looks great.

Sunday May 27th
"Shayfan" from the Railfan.net forum was nice enough to show us around the Cass shop where the Climax is being worked on. It is in fewer pieces than the last visit. Here one truck is mostly assembled.
This is the underside of the locomotive frame.

Monday May 28th
The Cass country store from across the Greenbriar River.
#11 pulls the Memorial Day Bald Knob train into the station.
Our train passes the Cass Shop. #4 has been moved over to a shop track.

The view from the observation deck at Bald Knob is great. Unfortunately the weather rarely provides a clear day.
Today is hazy.
Caboose 311 was left at Bald Knob yesterday. Today we take it back to Cass with us.
