There is a handful of different types of scenery on the C&TS. There are rocky mountains, baren valleys, tree-covered hills, and bushy deserts.

As the train crosses Lobato Trestle, the mud ring is blown down, but this photo did not catch it.

We've crested Cumbres Pass and we're now coming into Los Pinos. The railroad can be seen on the other side of the valley. We'll be over there in a while.

August 25, 2006
When we returned to Chama by bus, the #487 had a fire in her belly. Here she is the following day with a full head of steam. Shop employees were adjusting the pop valves.

On our way to Georgetown, we stopped in Antonito to get a better look at some of the in-use EBT hoppers. This one's had a lot of work.

The C&TS never installed full size couplers on these cars. They're using this coupler adapter. One of this same type came with one of the EBT cars FEBT purchased in 2002.
