Bluegrass RR Museum Pics from September 29, 2011

Versailles, KY


The BGRM is located at the end of a short RJ Corman branch line at Versailles, KY.
They once used this ALCO MRS-1 but it no longer runs.
Southern Caboose.
Track equipment on display.
L&N caboose.
Trains weren't running when we stopped by but here's their train parked with the NW GP9 and four former MU coaches.
Fairmont Speeder.
DODX 6-axle flatcar.
Baggage car.
The orange-ish GP8 is originally Reading RR, then ICG, and lastly LXOH before RJC donated it to the BGRM.
GE centercab.
Inside the museum building is this wooden replica of Young's High Bridge which is at the end of the BGRM's 5-mile line.
BGRM once used this Fairbanks-Morse unit but it suffered a failure some time ago and is now just a display.
