Railfest 2007: Saturday, July 7

The train has arrived at Altoona from Philadelphia and Harrisburg.

This is the first I've seen this MKT car. I heard someone say it is owned by Juniata Terminal as well.
The Kitchi Gami Club, Warrior Ridge, and Pennsylvania are on the rear of the train.
In addition to four vintage cars, Railfest barrowed a train of Septa cars and one Amtrak car.
PRR 5711 and 5809 are probably the premier excursion diesels in the USA.

The famous E units are back once again.
A smaller croud than usual greets the shiney classics as they pull their train around the curve.
Here was the biggest surprise this weekend. Few that looked at this beast knew what it was. It's a Railpower RP14BDB, cabless remote genset switcher.
NS was kind enough to put two F units on display at the museum.
The pair was tied down on the turntable.
NS 4271 looking good.
